The premise is there, and while it’s not entirely original (think Express of Tomorrow, City of Darkness, etc.), there’s enough newness to make it feel well-executed for a TV series. Good performances from Oyelowo, along with familiar faces in Rashida Jones and Will Patton. (But as you can see from the show’s poster, they’re guest stars making way for regular cast members. Rebecca Ferguson is the lead.) The show looks pretty decent with good production values. There are detailed sets and good CGI to provide a believable atmosphere. Although a skeptical mind initially sees some obvious conspiracies, the mysteries that await me continue to be revealed.
