Season 1 covers the first 30 chapters of the book "Fur" – there are 82 chapters in the book. In several episodes, the fans on the floor spin in the wrong direction compared to the orientation of the blades. This way, the air is neither pushed nor pulled by spinning. A fascinating look at the history of the people who lived underground for a long time, with traditions, myths, beliefs, rituals, customs, and forgotten events. The social structure of the status quo is established. When this orderly status quo is questioned, enforcement and punishment ensue. A power structure is formed, creating a population that is stratified from top to bottom in silos, both figuratively and literally. The premise is there, and while it’s not entirely original (think Express of Tomorrow, City of Darkness, etc.), there’s enough newness to make it feel well-executed for a TV series. Good performances from Oyelowo, along with familiar faces in Rashida Jones and Will Patton. (But as you can see from the show’s poster, they’re guest stars making way for regular cast members. Rebecca Ferguson is the lead.) The show looks pretty decent with good production values. There are detailed sets and good CGI to provide a believable atmosphere. Although a skeptical mind initially sees some obvious conspiracies, the mysteries that await me continue to be revealed.
